Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine for allergies to dust and pollen, for Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, and as a sleep aid. It is best known under the brand name Benadryl, and is found in medications such as Excedrin PM, Nytol, Sleep-Eze, Sominex, Tylenol PM, and Unisom.
HOWEVER, for people 60 an older it can possibly amplify other medical conditions.
